Rowdown House stables is situated in Upper Lambourn, the Valley of the Racehorse, just 1/4 mile from the Lambourn gallops. With over 100 miles of gallops and facilities that are second to none within the racing community, the chalk soil of the Lambourn Valley has been producing winners for hundreds of years by providing the perfect terrain and topography for racehorse training.

Yard
Rowdown House stables is a 21 box purpose built yard. The unique layout means that every horse can see each other and is kept interested during the day. Rowdown stables offers unique therapy for horses who require individual training techniques.

Horses are bedded on dust free shavings and fed with top quality haylage, grown locally by Mike Bowlby.

Gallops
The stables are situated next door to the largest vets practice in Lambourn and has the use of over 100 miles of all-weather and grass gallops within a two minute walk from the stables. The Lambourn Downs surrounding the stables provides extensive hacking areas for conditioning work.

Facilities
The yard has turnout paddocks, allowing each individual horse turn out facilities whenever necessary. A swimming pool, water treadmill, and horse walker are available. We have bought a brand new 'George Smith' horsebox giving our horses stress-free travel to the racecourse.
